Intensive Trauma Therapy

Intensive Therapy Retreat

Feeling stuck? Does the concept of true happiness seem like a lost cause? Do you have goals for yourself that you can’t seem to hit no matter how hard you try? Is it a Herculean effort to manage stress, process complex emotions, communicate, or build healthy and lasting relationships?

Have you experienced a traumatic event or loss that seems to linger with you and hold you back?

Trauma can affect the brain in powerful ways and cause lasting psychological effects. It can trap the brain into a state of hyper-alertness, making it difficult to function normally. This can be caused or worsened by relationship issues, divorce, death of a loved one, critical illness, motor vehicle accident, LGBTQ struggles, discrimination, bullying, emotional abuse, domestic violence, sexual abuse, child abuse, violent crime, combat, betrayal, or other events.

Good news! It is possible to find healing from your past traumas and losses. We can help you get your life back.

We all go through challenges in life. Sometimes they’re overwhelming, and sometimes they can be traumatizing. We can guide you to overcome these challenges and move on to living a happier and fuller life.

Our intensive therapy service is designed to get you back on your feet. Our compassionate therapists help people to overcome their struggles with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, PTSD, trauma, behavioral challenges, stress, anger management, and much more.

Help When You Need It

We understand how urgent the need for help can be, and we will work with you to begin your healing process as soon as possible so you can move on to living your best life.

Our Therapists

Our expert therapists are extensively trained, supervised, and experienced in intensive trauma therapy, featuring the most efficient of the proven-effective trauma healing therapies: eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and progressive counting (PC).

Our founder and executive director, Ricky Greenwald, PsyD, is a leading expert in EMDR, and the developer of PC as well as our intensive therapy model.

Intensive Therapy Retreat

When you’re dealing with trauma, it can be difficult to unpack and process things in the traditional 50-minute therapy session. We understand that you want to get through the healing so you can get back to enjoying your life.

That’s why we offer intensive therapy in concentrated sessions that provide a safe space to focus on your healing process so you can begin to move forward with purpose.

Our intensive therapy model will allow you to set aside all the distractions of everyday life so you can focus on giving your trauma the attention and care it deserves.

What exactly is an intensive therapy retreat?

Taking time to ‘retreat’ from the stresses and responsibilities of your normal routine offers an opportunity to rest, reflect and bring about positive change.

Participating in an intensive therapy retreat offers you the chance to work through entrenched patterns from traumatic experiences in a safe, focused environment.

By immersing yourself in an intensively supportive climate, you can focus on healing your trauma-related wounds at the deepest level possible. This allows for unique opportunities for insight and personal growth that are often not available when working with more traditional approaches to therapy.

Intensive therapy retreat sessions allow you to unpack, process, face, and heal from trauma rather than just learn to cope with symptoms the way traditional talk therapy often does.

Our intensive therapy retreat method allows you to get the most out of each session, giving our therapist the opportunity to help you understand your issues in depth and provide you with tools and experiences for lasting change.

We believe that carving out space for healing is a smart investment in your best asset—you!

TICTI’s intensive therapy retreat program is designed to help you move through your trauma and start living the life you want.

Ready to get started? Here’s what you need to know.

You’ll go through a thorough intake process. If intensive therapy is a good fit for you, you will be matched with a therapist who understands and specializes in helping clients with your particular struggle(s).

You will then be scheduled for your intensive therapy retreat sessions, in which you’ll spend full consecutive days with your therapist. You will be the only client your therapist works with during your scheduled sessions.

Our intensive therapy method is proven-successful, and most of our clients accomplish important steps in their healing process within a couple of days to a couple of weeks.

We are a non-profit organization and as such strive to have low-cost options available. Pricing depends on which therapist is the best fit for you, and number of days needed.
